This special *limited edition* is printed on a torn out page of a vintage french textbook first printed in 1949 called “Four French Plays of the Twentieth Century.”

It features a hand-carved linocut print of a poppy-inspired bloom. The composition is direct and graphic, allowing the flower itself to carry the weight of the piece. I love how you can barely see the words on the book through the print on this edition.

Poppies have been a recurring subject in my work over the years. After losing an old friend, I found myself noticing them everywhere… along roadsides, while walking my dogs, unexpectedly appearing in quiet places. Over time, they became something I instinctively return to. When I see poppies now, I often think of her.

This print is part of that ongoing connection. A quiet response to memory and repetition in nature. The carved lines and flat forms keep the piece grounded and minimal, while still carrying emotional weight beneath the surface.

Each print is hand carved and hand printed, meaning subtle variations in ink and texture make every impression slightly unique. Suitable for those drawn to botanical art, symbolic florals, minimalist printmaking, and handmade work with personal meaning.
